Aleksa Lawry began dancing at the age of 5 at Wilkerson Dance Studio in Greenfield, IN. She fell in love with ballet there, even earning the prestigious Ballerina Award in 2018. Aleksa went on to attend Anderson University in Anderson, IN, where she fell in love with worship dance, performing for the dance department’s mainstage shows, under the instruction of Christine Colquitt-Thacker, Erich Yetter, and Rachel Stoneking, as well as dancing for school chapels, and once performing at a local church. She graduated summa cum laude with Honors in Dance with a degree in Dance Pedagogy and Writing. Aleksa has attended dance intensives with Dance Kaleidoscope and Ballet 5:8, and has performed works by Kevin Jenkins, Jillian Godwin, and David Hochoy. She has performed professionally with Radiance Dance Company and Collide Theatrical Dance Company, and has performed in multiple musicals and film projects. She loves that Glorify gives her a home to combine her passion for Jesus with her love of storytelling and ballet.
