Auditioning for Glorify Dance Theatre's Apprentice Program

Thank you for your interest in auditioning for Glorify Dance Theatre’s Apprentice Program! GDT is a Christian, professional contemporary ballet company in West Chester, PA and we are seeking a diverse group of ballet dancers to take part in our Christian ballet apprentice auditions, giving aspiring professionals the opportunity of training and performing with Glorify Dance Theatre.

Audition applications for our Apprentice program are accepted between November 1-March 15 for the performance season beginning the upcoming September.  Any applications submitted after March 15th is given consideration pending an opening in the apprentice program. Casting decisions are made at the discretion of the Artistic Director and audition panel, and are impacted by the number of open spots in the program as well as the artistic vision for the work being created each season.

All applicants need strong classical ballet training and must feel confident performing classical, contemporary and neoclassical ballet choreography. It is also important that Company Artists are actively invested in their faith in Christ Jesus; spending time personally and in community with believers to grow in their knowledge and love of the Lord.

Upperclassmen in high school and students in or recently graduated from college, have the opportunity to hone their technique/performance skills to launch their career as professional dancers through joining our Apprentice program.  Throughout the season, Apprentices train with the company, they participate in company Bible study/worship times and regularly perform alongside and understudy the professional Company Artists in our productions.

Contracts run from September to May and consist of 30 weeks of rehearsals/performances. Rehearsals are held in at Time To Leap in West Chester Tuesdays-Thursdays from 9:15am to 2:45pm.

Tuition for the apprentice program is $1,500 for the season.
