The book of Exodus narrates the exciting story of God leading the people of Israel out of slavery in Egypt toward a land flowing with milk and honey. God leads Israel unharmed through destructive plagues, leads them through the sea on dry land so they can escape a terrifying army, leads them through trackless wilderness while providing for their daily needs, and leads them to live in peace with each other by giving instruction at Mount Sinai. By following where God leads, the Israelites get to witness incredible miracles and have their lives completely transformed.

Lead Us On – Lee’s Story

Thirty years ago I dropped all my dance classes. I had entered into college with the
expectation of being a dance and education major. I had grown up doing ballet, tap, and jazz. In high school I had performed roles such as Cinderella and the Sugar Plum Fairy. My freshman year of college, I was introduced to modern. I was fully dedicated to dance, and I was dedicated to the Lord, too. I had been reading my Bible daily since I was ten.

Bouncing Back

As Christians, we know that following Jesus doesn’t make us immune to pain, sorrow, loss, or hardship. Scripture is full of stories of struggle, but also of perseverance, faith, and surrender. Jesus never promised that life on this side of heaven would be easy; in fact, He said the opposite. John 16:33 reminds us: “Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world” (NLT). Yes! Jesus has overcome the world. What incredible, life-changing news.

A Ballerina’s Guide to Being Graceful

The dictionary defines gracefulness as “pleasing or attractive in line, proportion, or movement.” We ballerinas move effortlessly, perfectly, with a kind of fluidity that makes it appear as though gravity doesn’t affect us, as though the very laws of physics don’t control us. Or at least, we’re supposed to.
