Julia Dutill
APPRENTICE
Julia Dutill began ballet at the age of 3 at the Good Samaritan Dance Academy, started by Valerie Henry. She has been dancing and performing there ever since, taking classes from Gwen Prestwood and director Karen Watkins. She has also trained under many different teachers, including Kathryn Morgan and Martha Chamberlain, at various summer intensives. Julia has participated in summer dance intensives at Ballet Magnificat!, The Pennsylvania Academy of Ballet, Ballet 5:8, and more. She is also currently training with Swarthmore Ballet Theatre (SBT), where she is taught by Lori Ardis and William DeGregory. While training at SBT, she has had the opportunity to dance in classical ballets, and has performed roles such as the Fairy Godmother in Cinderella and multiple roles in The Nutcracker. Julia joined Glorify Dance Theatre early in 2020 as a Preparatory Company student and is so excited to continue dancing and performing with the main company.
