Gabrielle Byrnes
CORPS DE BALLET
Gabrielle Byrnes is from Voorhees NJ and began dancing at the age of three at the Academy of Ballet NJ in South Jersey. She was taught by David Gallagher, Valerie Amiss, Gabriella Yudenich and Jennifer Tedesco. She studied ballet and pointe and performed in many full length productions with lead roles such as Clara, Snow Queen and Dew Drop in the Nutcracker, Cygnet and Peasant pas de trois in Swan Lake, Stepsister in Cinderella, and Swanhilda in Coppelia. She has attended summer intensives at Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet, Joffrey Ballet, Ballet Paradosi, Princeton Ballet School summer intensive, Paul Taylor and Mark Morris Dance Group. Gabrielle attended Adelphi University in Long Island, New York and received a BFA in Dance and with a minor in Art and Design Education. At Adelphi, she has worked with choreographers Orion Duckstein, Tamara Babic, Jennifer Kreichman, Fernando Carrillo and Frank Augustyn. In college she interned at Long Island High School of the Arts and the Waldorf School of Garden City, teaching her choreography to students. She was actively involved in the Christian Fellowship organization at Adelphi, and also created a bible study for dance majors. She has a passion and love for teaching dance to young children. In the summers Gabrielle is the dance director/choreographer for her church’s musical theater drama camp for kids ages 8-14. It is her favorite part of her summer. In her free time she likes to paint her nails, go to the beach and hang with friends. She is so excited to be joining Glorify Dance Theatre for the 2022-2023 season!
