Glorify Performing Arts began with a vision – create excellent performing arts designed to bring Jesus honor and glory. Easter of 2013, founder Melody Stanert found herself writing page after page of ideas for the company: a dance theatre for professional dancers who want to share stories of faith and social justice, a theatrical productions branch to entertain through classic shows and original, local work, and an education department with teachers who can combine excellence and Christianity for students wanting to pursue the arts as a profession. Fast forward to now, and the past few years of planning has laid the foundation for GPA to launch.
Glorify Performing Arts exists to provide professional entertainment using dance, theatre and music to embolden Christians in their faith and allow people of other beliefs to explore the views of Christianity in a nonthreatening environment.
As GPA works to become fully operational, we have three long-term goals for the company:
- Provide consistent high-quality productions that are edifying to the audience.
- Create jobs in the arts field that are able to consistently provide employment for Christian artists.
- Establish a well-known, respected, education department where serious students can train to a pre-professional level.
We cannot run this company alone! Want to get involved? Check out Career/Volunteer Opportunities and Dance Theatre Auditions or Join our E-News for more information on ways you can help breathe life into Glorify Performing Arts.
